Weston Decorators was founded in 1985 and has evolved into an established highly reputable decorating company focusing on quality, commitment and innovative design. Based in South Wales, with premises located in Cardiff, the company continues to enjoy relentless growth and recognition.
Roy Jones, the founder of the business, qualified and graduated as a painter and decorator in 1981. He decided to build upon a sound practical base, exploring with further study, advanced crafts, decorative finishes and special paint effects which took a further two years to accomplish.
In 1983, Roy sought to gain experience putting into practice what he had studied and learned. Working alongside highly skilled, reputable painting and decorating contractors, refurbishing banks, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, he achieved his aim. The hours were long and hard but very interesting and rewarding. With the knowledge and experience Roy had picked up in specialised coatings, fashionable paint effects and decorative finishes, he decided to create his own business.
1985 saw the launch of a new and long awaited company, Weston Decorators, focusing on new build housing developments. The company secured contracts with opportunities to produce high quality decorative workmanship and the chance to design and decorate show homes.
The company grew with fierce expansion, taking advantage of the housing boom. Developers placed substantial contracts with us. They expanded and explored interior design, offering elegance and contrasting decorative finishes, using vibrant colour, which were coming to the fore in the early 90’s.
Weston's began experimenting and incorporating colour with light and the use of open space, put together with beautiful fabrics to create elegant, calming and clutter-free environments.

As they drew into the late 90’s, the company had become a highly reputable and established company with an even greater emphasis on excellence and quality. Weston’s had earned and secured itself a loyal client base as a result of their continued commitment, innovation and quality.
The company was definitely moving upwards and onwards and started looking for greater levels of recognition.
In 1999, we achieved that recognition by virtue of Investors in People, followed by countless NHBC awards for their continued setting of higher standards and excellence within the industry. Thereafter followed accreditations from Trustmark UK and Dulux ICI paints as Wales’ leading Dulux Select Painting and Decorating Contractor, more recently they have gained recognition as a CHAS Approved Company for demonstrating greater levels of Health and Safety within its organisation.
